Eric Gaftarnik worked for a number of firms, including Dubarry Le Douarin Veil as a partner, before founding Gaftarnik & Associés in 2007 (GWL since 2023).

A litigator specializing in business litigation and arbitration, he advises SMEs, major groups and investment funds on shareholder disputes and post-sale litigation. He is also a regular advisor to banks and major companies in the transport, retail and circular economy sectors. His practice of insolvency proceedings and his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in cases relating to the prevention and resolution of business difficulties are also recognized. Member of the Bar since 1991, Eric Gaftarnik holds a master's degree in private law and a DEA in private law (University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne)

Mickaël Lévi joined the firm in 2014 after working for Veil Jourde, Ashurst LLP and Denton Wilde Sapte (Dentons LLP), and Reed Smith LLP.

He specializes in Investment Capital, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Law and Private Equity. Advising numerous French and foreign companies and prestigious investment funds on their smid-cap transactions, he has developed a major transactional practice within GWL (recognized in 2020 by Le Point's ranking of the best law firms), which is enriched by the litigation skills of his partners.

Member of the Paris Bar since 2005, Mickaël Lévi holds a Master's degree in Public Law of Business and Economic Activities and a DEA in Public Law of Economic Activities. Mickaël Lévi also obtained a DESS in Banking & Finance and a DESS as European Business Lawyer.

Yann Le Douarin has been a lawyer at the Rennes bar since 1977 and at the Paris bar since 1979.

A former associate of Jean-Louis Borloo, he was the founding partner of Dubarry Le Douarin Veil between 1984 and 2007, before joining Eric Gaftarnik. He advises and pleads before state and arbitration courts in the areas of insolvency proceedings, competition and distribution, construction, industrial risks, mainly on behalf of foreign companies established in France. He holds a master's degree in private law (Rennes) and an MBA from the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises ( I.A.E.) of Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne. He taught at the I.A.E. between 1985 and 1989.

Angelique Laffineur has been a partner of the firm since 2007. She previously practiced at Dubarry Le Douarin Veil and Catala – Gaftarnik firms.

She mainly works in economic and commercial law, banking litigation, but also in civil liability and group insurance law. Lawyer at the Paris Bar since 1997, Angélique Laffineur holds a Master's degree in private law with a legal career option from the University of Paris II-Assas, as well as a DESUP with a business law option, a 3rd cycle diploma issued by the School of Training of the Paris Bar. Since 2023, she has held the Mediator Certification issued by CMAP in partnership with ESCP Business School, and intervenes to help parties (companies, investment funds and institutions) seeking to reach an amicable solution in commercial and business law matters: breach and termination of contracts, termination of established commercial relationships, disputes between partners, post-sale disputes (GAP, earn out, etc.).

Frédéric Chardin has been a partner at the firm since 2007. He previously worked with at Dubarry Le Douarin Veil and Catala – Gaftarnik firms.

He also regularly intervenes in social law on behalf of private law companies, both in labor law litigation, social protection and individual or collective lay offs, as well as as counsel, particularly during acquisition operations in the frame of acquisition audit and prior procedures with employee representative institutions. He specializes in public law, and more particularly in public procurement law. He usually assists, both in litigation and in advising, contracting authorities (including entities not subject to the Public Procurement Code but to the 2005 order) and candidate companies. He is in charge of tutorials, in this subject, at the University of Paris XII. Member of the Paris Bar since 2002, Frédéric Chardin holds a DEA in public law and a doctorate in public law.
